Initial post

Hello all. This is an introductory post to the project I am calling "The Far Reaches", a web series I am going to post here and on my Wattpad of the same name, Elix_Fey, weekly. I also intend to have some short stories on here as well as weekly prompts for any other writers.

To give a decent description of "The Far Reaches", it is a science fiction story that takes place in the distant future of humanity, with hundreds of colonies and rival factions across many galaxies. The largest of these faction, known as the Sovereign galaxies, has many mining operations in the outer reaches of the furthest galaxies to satiate the ever growing need for raw materials. But, luck would strike the government of the Sovereign galaxies when an alien artifact of unknown origin was found on the planet Epsilon Vulture.The monument was like none other, made out of a material of unknown origins, that displayed a hexa-comb structure that allowed for liquids and small matter to pass through it without damaging the material. In the months to pass dozens of alien artifacts were found across the border galaxies that exhibited the same hexa-comb structure and make up. Government and freelance scientists were baffled at the complexity of the monuments and other ruins found across the border galaxies. Of all these archaeological sites, there is one that stands out, a small bunker of sorts that puts out odd signals that manipulate brain waves, talking to the workers in a unknown yet oddly familiar language.
